How to synchronize your Headway.co Calendars with Google

Headway.co is an excellent practice management software designed specifically for therapist. While it excels at patient management, many practitioners face a common challenge: managing multiple calendars across different platforms like Google or Outlook. This fragmentation can lead to scheduling conflicts and administrative headaches.

Calensync allows you to synchronize your Headway calendar into Google and Outlook. It has an average synchronization interval of 15 minutes (and maximum of 30 minutes), and provides several controls to customize the privacy settings, filtering rules, and event the location.

Let's get started with the setup process!

Step 1: Create a Calensync Account

Visit the login page and sign up using your Google account.

Step 2: Connect your Google Calendars

Navigate to the dashboard's accounts tab and connect the Google account containing the calendars you want to synchronize.

Step 3: Extract your Headway.co calendar

1. Visit your calendar settings in Sigmund, the provider portal
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page, to the section titled Export Sigmund Calendar
3. Click the Copy button to copy your URL

Step 4: Add your Headway.co Calendar

In the Calensync dashboard:

1. Go to the Accounts tab
2. Click "Connect an iCalendar (.ics)"
3. Choose a name for your calendar
4. Paste the link from Step 3

Step 5: Create an Event Synchronization

1. Navigate to the Synchronizations tab
2. Click "Create a Synchronization"
3. Customize your event details:
   • Use %original% to keep original values
   • Add prefixes like [Headway] %original%
   • Or create custom formats like Headway Appointment
4. Configure additional synchronization settings
5. Save your configuration

Your Headway.co events will begin synchronizing immediately and continue automatically until you remove the synchronization rule.
