New Release: Manage Calendars from Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity

August 2026

You already use AI to plan your week. Until now, turning that plan into real calendar sync still meant opening the dashboard, clicking through accounts, and building rules by hand.

Calensync MCP closes that gap. Your calendars stay in Calensync. The work can happen in Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any client that supports the Model Context Protocol.

Connect with Claude or Connect with ChatGPT — setup takes a couple of minutes. Full steps for every client are on the MCP page.

What is MCP?

MCP is an open standard for giving AI tools live data and the ability to act on it. Instead of copy-pasting calendar IDs into chat, your assistant talks to Calensync over a secure connection, with your permission.

You sign in with Google, Outlook, or Apple through OAuth. Calensync never sees the AI tool’s password, and the tool never sees yours.

What you can do from chat

Once connected, you can:

  • Connect calendars — Google, Outlook, Apple, and ICS feeds
  • Create sync rules — copy events from a source calendar to a destination, fully or as Busy
  • Keep details private — mask titles and descriptions, or copy them with a prefix
  • Tune every rule — filters, buffer time, colors, and the same controls as the dashboard
  • Manage existing rules — list, update, or delete sync rules without leaving the conversation

Rules you create in chat live on your Calensync account. They show up in the dashboard like any other rule. Use whichever surface you prefer.

How to connect

Setup takes a few minutes. Full steps for each tool are on the Calensync MCP page.

Claude

Open Customize → Connectors, add a custom connector named Calensync, and paste https://api.calensync.live/mcp. Click Connect and sign in. Or use Connect to Claude on the MCP page to pre-fill the connector.

ChatGPT

In Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode. Create a custom connector with the same URL, set authentication to OAuth, then sign in to Calensync.

Perplexity

Open Account settings → Connectors, add a remote custom connector, set transport to Streamable HTTP and authentication to OAuth 2.0, then complete Calensync sign-in.

Other clients

Cursor, Claude Code, and any client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP can use the same URL. In Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http calensync https://api.calensync.live/mcp

Plans and privacy

Any Calensync plan works, including the free trial. There is no separate MCP subscription. Limits in chat match your Calensync account.

Sync still follows the privacy settings you already know: copy full event details, or mask them as Busy, with filters and buffers when you need them.

Get started

  1. Create a Calensync account if you do not have one yet.
  2. Open the MCP page and connect Claude, ChatGPT, or Perplexity — or paste the server URL into your client.
  3. Sign in, then ask the assistant to connect a calendar or create a sync rule.

If something looks off, use the support chat in the dashboard or email support@calensync.live.
