Why is my event not synced?

When events are created by an API of any kind, including ourselves, there is a special hidden field that we can use to store information about the event. For example, in our case, we store the original event id, as well as the id of the rule that created the sync.

This is fundamental in order to keep syncing privacy friendly: it allows us not to have to store any information about the events ourselves, and instead query the provider as needed.

The infinite cycle issue

However, what sometimes happen if other tools also interact with the calendar, is that we can get into an infinite cycle. Imagine the following scenario: we synchronize your event from A to B, and then another third-party you also use decides that they need to update B, for some external reason.
